Music News: Britney Spears’ DUI Hearing

Britney Spears has left rehab, just days before her upcoming DUI hearing.

The Toxic singer recently checked out of the facility, according to US Weekly.

She entered the facility on April 12, after being arrested in California on March 4, when her BMW was seen speeding and veering between lanes.

After a conversation with her sons, Preston, 20, and Jayden, 19, she decided to seek treatment.

“Britney went to rehab after several conversations with both of her sons,” a source told US Weekly in April. “They expressed concern about her recent behaviour and urged her to seek professional help, which has been long overdue, to get her back on track. All they’ve ever wanted for their mom is health and happiness, even during the years they were estranged. They hope she’ll take it seriously.”

However, it’s not clear whether the 44-year-old star will make an in-person appearance.

“Whether or not Ms Spears will appear at the hearing will be a decision made between her and her attorney,” the District Attorney’s office explained. “Since it is a misdemeanour charge, she is not required to attend, and her attorney can make the appearance for her.”
