The hunt is officially back on. Netflix has confirmed a sequel to its cultural phenomenon KPop Demon Hunters, the streaming platform’s most-watched movie of all time. The announcement comes at a pinnacle moment for the franchise, as critics and fans alike anticipate the film’s performance at the Oscars tonight, where it took home two Academy Awards for Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song.

The original film, which follows the trio Rumi, Mira, and Zoey of the fictional group Huntr/x, has shattered records since its release last summer. With over 480 million views in just six months, it has become a rare crossover hit, bridging the gap between K-pop fandom and mainstream Western audiences.

The film’s soundtrack has been equally dominant. The breakout hit “Golden” reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and secured a Grammy for Best Song Written for Visual Mediaâ€"marking the first time a K-pop track has ever won the prestigious award.
