Music News: The Weeknd Teases Ariana Grande Collab

The Weeknd has hinted that another collaboration with Ariana Grande may be on the way after revisiting their previous tracks on social media.

The 36-year-old singer â€" whose real name is Abel Tesfaye â€" took to his Instagram Stories to share a screenshot listing all four of their past collaborations: Love Me Harder, off the table, Save Your Tears (Remix), and Die For You (Remix).

 Alongside the post, he added five explosion emojis â€" a move fans quickly interpreted as a nod to their four existing songs together and a possible fifth release.

The pair has a long history of successful team-ups.

Their first collaboration, Love Me Harder, became a major hit in 2014. They reunited on Ariana’s 2020 album Positions for Off the Table, before scoring back-to-back global smashes with the remixes of Save Your Tears and Die For You, both of which surged up the charts following their releases.

While neither artist has officially confirmed a new track, The Weeknd’s post has sparked widespread speculation that another joint single is imminent.

Meanwhile, after coming off back-to-back movies with Wicked and Wicked: For Good, Ariana has conceded it would be “healthy” for her to take a career break.

She told Vogue Japan: “I think that it would probably be healthy. I’m not used to taking breaks.

“But I do know that I grew so much from taking space from music while I was filming Wicked … But yeah, these past few years have been pretty non-stop. And by few, I mean 15.”
