Movieguide® Announces the Nominees for the 33rd Annual Movieguide® Faith & Values Awards Gala - Including 'When Hope Calls,' 'When Calls the Heart,' and More - SEE HERE:

The prestigious Movieguide® organization has unveiled the nominees for its 33rd Annual Movieguide® Faith & Values Awards Gala. The organization, known for its commitment to promoting wholesome, inspiring films and television programs, has highlighted a number of standout projects including 'When Hope Calls,' 'When Calls the Heart,' and more.

The Movieguide® Faith & Values Awards are designed to honor excellence in family-friendly entertainment, specifically acknowledging narratives that inspire faith and uphold strong values. These awards are part of Movieguide®’s broader mission to transform the culture of entertainment by encouraging the production of wholesome, inspiring content that can be enjoyed by audiences of all ages.

Among the nominees this year are the heartwarming series 'When Hope Calls' and 'When Calls the Heart.' Both shows, originating from the Hallmark Channel, have been praised for their uplifting and positive storytelling. They focus on the power of community, love, and faith, offering enchanting narratives that embody the values Movieguide® stands for.

'When Hope Calls' is a spin-off of 'When Calls the Heart' and revolves around two sisters who open an orphanage in the 1916 Western town of Brookfield. The show explores themes of compassion, perseverance, and the power of love.

The parent series, 'When Calls the Heart,' is set in the early 20th century and follows the story of a young school teacher who moves to a small mining town, and how she and the residents navigate life's challenges with courage and faith.

Though 'When Hope Calls' and 'When Calls the Heart' are two of the most notable nominees, they are by no means the only worthy contenders. The list of nominees spans a variety of genres and platforms, including theatrical releases, television series, and streaming originals.

Other nominees for this prestigious award include the inspiring biographical drama 'Harriet,' based on the life of abolitionist Harriet Tubman, the Disney+ original film 'Togo,' and the faith-based film 'Overcomer' by the Kendrick Brothers.

The 33rd Annual Movieguide® Faith & Values Awards Gala is an essential event for the entertainment industry. It not only rewards the efforts of those producing uplifting content, but also serves as a reminder of the demand for more wholesome, family-friendly, and faith-affirming entertainment. The winners will be announced at the Gala, which promises to be a memorable celebration of faith, family, and the power of storytelling.

This year's nominees once again demonstrate Movieguide®'s commitment to promoting positive values and faith-based narratives in entertainment. They represent a range of stories that inspire, teach, and uplift, embodying the ideals that Movieguide® has championed for over three decades. The awards gala is a testament to the organization's enduring mission and a celebration of the artists, filmmakers, and storytellers who work to create meaningful, wholesome entertainment.

Movieguide® is my personal favorite Awards Show for film entertainment, since it honors family-friendly and faith-based programming!

Among the nominees (all listed below), look for your favorite family shows When Hope Calls, When Calls the Heart, Crossroad Springs, County Rescue, Great American Family films, and more!
