There's a new romance story that's galloping onto your screens, and it's taking the world of Hallmark by storm. Andrew Walker and Odette Annable star in the much-anticipated Hallmark Channel movie, "Kentucky Roses." This heartwarming film combines the thrill of the Kentucky Derby with a blossoming romance, creating a unique mixture of passion, excitement, and heart.

"Kentucky Roses" is set against the beautiful backdrop of the Kentucky Derby, one of the most prestigious horse racing events in the world. The storyline revolves around a horse trainer (Andrew Walker) and a city girl (Odette Annable) who find themselves drawn to each other amidst the excitement and intensity of the Derby.

Andrew Walker, who has been a staple in many Hallmark Channel movies, once again delivers a compelling performance. He plays the role of a dedicated and passionate horse trainer who hopes to win the Derby with his prized horse. Walker's portrayal of a man who is torn between his love for his horse and his growing feelings for Annable's character is both believable and touching.

Odette Annable, best known for her roles in "Supergirl" and "The Astronaut Wives Club," shines bright as a sophisticated city girl who is drawn to the country life and the horse trainer. She brings a delightful blend of vulnerability and strength to her character, creating an engaging romantic interest that audiences will surely root for.

The chemistry between Walker and Annable is palpable, making their on-screen romance captivating and believable. The film does an excellent job of highlighting the contrast between their characters' backgrounds while also showing how their shared love for horses brings them together.

But "Kentucky Roses" is not just about romance. It also paints a vivid picture of the Kentucky Derby, its traditions, and the passion of those who devote their lives to horse racing. The movie's spectacular shots of the racing scenes, coupled with a charming romance story, make it a unique addition to Hallmark's lineup of films.

"Kentucky Roses" is directed by Terry Ingram, known for his work on numerous Hallmark Channel movies, including "A Bride for Christmas" and "Summer in the Vineyard." He does a splendid job of combining the thrill of horse racing with the warm, fuzzy feelings that Hallmark movies are known for.

With its blend of romance, passion for horse racing, and a dash of southern charm, "Kentucky Roses" is sure to win the hearts of viewers. Whether you're a fan of horse racing, a hopeless romantic, or just someone who enjoys a good Hallmark movie, this is one film you won't want to miss.

While the Hallmark movie Hats Off to Love was also set at the Kentucky Derby, it was actually filmed in Florida. Kentucky Roses, however, was filmed last year at the iconic Churchill Downs in the beautiful bluegrass state of Kentucky. (For those who want to be more technical, Kentucky is officially a commonwealth.)

Kentucky Roses unfolds across two timelinesâ€"present day and 1932â€"at Churchill Downs. In present-day, Sadie Moore (Annable) works in the Churchill Downs greenhouse, dreaming of becoming a florist and one day contributing to the Derby’s garland of roses, just like her great-grandmother, Gloria (Ledford). As Derby Day approaches, Sadie meets Ash Taylor (Walker), the son of Churchill Downs’ CEO (Henry), who’s been asked to do an emergency repair on the iconic Twin Spires after a storm left one damaged. Both Sadie and Ash feel the weight of family legacy and the desire to carve out their own paths. Sparks fly, and their budding romance is complicated by a long-buried connection between their familiesâ€"a bittersweet love story from the past that threatens to repeat itself.

Kentucky Roses is a Hallmark Media production.
