Music News: Geese On SNL: Look + Listen
Indie rock band Geese debuted on Saturday Night Live with two tracks from their latest album, Getting Killed.
The foursomeâ"joined by their touring keyboardist Sam Revazâ"opened with âAu Pays du Cocaineâ (In the Land of Cocaine), the eighth song on their 11-track album, which came out in September.
The Brooklyn-based bandâs follow-up to 2021âs Projector and 3D Country two years later, Getting Killed was a chore to make.
Guitarist Emily Green agreed: âIt does feel like a brute-force effort until the very end.â
The album, recorded last January in Los Angeles, reached the top spot on the UK Independent Albums Chart, and is ranked fifth on Rolling Stoneâs list of the 100 Best Albums of 2025.
Geeseâs second song of the night was opening track âTrinidad.â
The group, which the schoolmates formed ten years ago, are touring worldwide; after a Jan. 31 show in Honolulu, Hawaii next Saturday, theyâll next be in the states in March at the Treefort Music Festival in Boise, Idaho. Theyâre also set to perform at Coachella, the Governors Ball, and Bonnaroo, among other festivals.
