Sex Pistols Set to Rock the Stage for 50th Anniversary Celebration

Come 2026, Punk legends Sex Pistols featuring Frank Carter have confirmed four headline summer concerts, including Piece Hall in Halifax on July 11, Manchester’s Castlefield Bowl on July 12, Cardiff Castle on August 1 and Scarborough Open Air Theatre on August 2.





Band members Steve Jones, Paul Cook and Glen Matlock (who was replaced by Sid Vicious in 1977) reunited in 2024, and they’re now joined by Gallows frontman Frank Carter, who’s stepped in for original singer John Lydon AKA Johnny Rotten.





The concerts will celebrate the 50th anniversary of ‘Anarchy,’ the Sex Pistols’ first 1976 single in the United Kingdom.





Guitarist Steve Jones was recently quoted as saying, “If it ain’t fun, I ain’t doing it. I’m too old for bulls**t.”





Having reformed in 2024 without singer John Lydon who refused to go back on tour and referred to the concerts with Carter as “karaoke”, the 69-year old former frontman told The Independent:
