Enjoy A Flurry of Christmas Romance: From Castles to Cozy Comedies New Mystery and Christmas Classics in the Country

‘Tis the season to be jolly and what better way to indulge in the holiday spirit than to lose yourself in a flurry of Christmas romance? As the world is beautifully wrapped in a blanket of snow and the festive air fills with the scent of gingerbread and mulled wine, it’s time to snuggle up with a heartwarming Christmas romantic story. From fairy tale castles to cozy comedies, new mysteries, and Christmas classics set in the country, there’s something for every taste.

Christmas Romance in Castles:

One of the most popular tropes in Christmas romance novels is the setting of a grand castle. These stories often feature a modern-day Cinderella who gets swept away by a prince charming, all amidst the magical backdrop of a castle adorned with twinkling Christmas lights. An example of such a novel is ‘A Royal Christmas’ by Scarlet Wilson. It’s a heartwarming story of a royal doctor who finds love in the most unexpected circumstances.

Cozy Christmas Comedies:

Not all Christmas romance novels are about fairy tale love stories. Some are filled with hilarious situations and rib-tickling humor, featuring characters who find love amidst the chaos of the holiday season. Novels like ‘The Twelve Dogs of Christmas’ by Lizzie Shane or ‘In a Holidaze’ by Christina Lauren are filled with festive cheer and romantic comedy, perfect for a light-hearted Christmas read.

New Christmas Mystery-Romance:

A new trend in the Christmas romance genre is the mystery-romance novel. These books combine the warmth of a love story with the thrill of a whodunit. In books like ‘A Cotswold Christmas Mystery’ by Rebecca Tope, the protagonists solve mysteries while also finding love along the way. These stories keep readers on their toes and create a perfect blend of suspense, romance, and holiday cheer.

Christmas Classics in the Country:

Nothing beats the charm of a classic country Christmas romance. The peaceful backdrop of snow-covered fields, the warmth of a roaring fireplace, and the slow-paced life of the country make for an ideal setting for a Christmas love story. Books like ‘A Country Christmas’ by Debbie Macomber or ‘A Yorkshire Christmas’ by Kate Hewitt, transport readers to the idyllic countryside where love blossoms amidst Christmas traditions.

Whether you're a fan of fairy tale romance, enjoy a good laugh, love a good mystery, or prefer the charm of a country Christmas, the world of Christmas romance novels has something for you. These books not only bring the joy of the holiday season but also add a dash of love and warmth to it.

So, get ready to immerse yourself in a flurry of Christmas romance. Grab a hot cup of cocoa, cozy up under a warm blanket, and lose yourself in a world where love is as magical as Christmas itself. Let the Christmas bells chime with love and laughter as you embark on a romantic journey this holiday season. After all, Christmas is not just about the gifts under the tree, but also about the love stories that unfold around it.

Hey there, Christmas movie friends!

The weekend is here, bringing another cozy, joy-filled round of Christmas movie premieres! We’re three weeks into the holiday movie season, and though this year’s lineup has a few fewer new premieres, there’s still a wonderful mix of classic favorites and fresh new festive films to enjoy!

This weekend brings us *two* brand-new Christmas movies and *two* exciting new episodes of "Mistletoe Murders"! (Don’t miss my review of these specific episodes below!)

Over on Great American Family, they’re rolling out the red carpet for the royal premiere of "A Royal Icing Christmas," while the Hallmark Channel is forecasting snow, romance, and laughs with "Merry Christmas, Ted Cooper!," which looks to be an amusing comedic story about a weatherman who reconnects with his high school crush!

Keep scrolling for all the details on these new premieres, plus a new *non-holiday* rom-com from UPtv, a classic Christmas movie marathon set in the country on Hallmark Mystery, and all of the festive fun below!

Season 1, Episodes 3 and 4:

Peril of the Belles - Part 1
After a string of suspicious accidents, Emily goes undercover in the local choir to investigate. Sam, however, remains skeptical. Violet takes on more responsibility at the shop.

Peril of the Belles - Part 2
When the choir attacks escalate, Emily and Sam grow closer as they work together to find the culprit. Emily helps Violet out of a precarious situation by tapping into her dark past.

Review:

Mistletoe Murders â€" (episode 3&4) Each murder mystery in The Mistletoe Murders series are written to cover 2 episodes, so it’s basically like watching a movie. The 3rd and 4th episodes were mostly family-friendly for a show that revolves around murder. These types of shows are best suited for pre-teen age and up.

Cautions: A woman who was killed in a car “accident,” was thought to be having an affair with a man who is in the local choir. This same man is questioned by Emily (Sarah Drew’s character), and when she asks if he was involved with her, he says something like, "She’s not my type," and Emily says, "Blonde?" and he simply says, "Woman." Nothing else is said, but we get the point. There is another murder near the end of the 4th episode.

Overall, I love the sweet relationship between Emily and Sam, and his teenage daughter, who is a breath of fresh air. The Christmas shop is darling, and it was nice to hear the choir sing Christmas carols in these episodes. ~Net
